Donna Marie Seim is a graduate of Ohio State University and holds a master's degree in Special Education from Lesley University. Donna and her husband, Martin, have a specialty toy store called The Dragon's Nest in Newburyport, MA. Donna fell in love with the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands on her first visit over thirty-three years ago. She and her husband travel often to Grand Turk having restored an island house.

Tere has been practicing Occupational Therapy for over 30 years in pediatrics and psychiatry. She is a certified YogaKids, Inc. facilitator and incorporates movement, stretching and yoga poses into her interventions in the classroom. Tere lives in New Hampshire with her husband and four Labradors.

William in America is Joan Weisman’s fifth book for young people. In 1935, two brothers, Henry (age eleven) and Arnold (age fourteen), were rescued from Hitler’s Germany and brought to live with Joan’s family in Detroit. Sadly, their parents and baby brother were killed by the Nazis. When Henry and Arnold grew up, they fought in World War II against Germany. After the War, the two young men returned to Detroit, married and had successful careers.

Whinny Stahl grew up in New York City in the 1950s. This is her first children's book, or any book for that matter. She has dabbled in the arts most of her life and has traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe. Among all of the incredible experiences she has had in her lifetime, she has found this to be the most rewarding project she has ever undertaken. It has truly been a labor of love.
